Great Plains 2007 - on Sunday we go again!

He's back! The little blog has been freed from dust and moths and in the coming weeks will be very active:

on Sunday, 13:05 goes back to it after a long wait in the Great Plains storm chase. We are once again a four-team consisting of Eric Chibidziura, Felix Geis, Julie Eichhorn and my one. Arrival will be in the early evening at the airport in Dallas-Fort Worth in Texas. We expect the evening humid warm air and a 30% risk of thunderstorm :-). These cells will be in low wind shear, but not "severe", that is, the criteria of the U.S. Weather Service at the severe thunderstorms (hail from 2 cm, gusts above 90 km / h and / or tornadoes) are likely not met. The first objective could then be on Monday evening, the central part of Kansas. There are expected on a cold front storm (possibly a Squall-Line). Then the weather stabilized mid-week something, then left for us time to include the Dallas / Fort Worth metro area to explore and to visit some friends. We will contact you by Monday morning (local time, so European Summer Time -8 hours!) Again.

Ciao!
