Hello dear, patient readers of this blog. In the last two days we have allowed ourselves to take a little of other things and the blog was a little calmer. But now we want all the readers not deny what we on Wednesday and Thursday have been doing. Advance a few words about the weather: we still are in the range of a high wedge (or simply high pressure area) and shall, in the central and southern Plains for friendly and increasingly warmer weather. But there is a change in sight, because on Sunday is particularly noticeable in the northern Plains a more active weather. The us is then expected to bring storm on Monday and Tuesday, possibly supercells. So let's wait until then stretched and make the right holiday!
And we celebrated after a brief stay in Wichita, KS like a real American Barbeque (abbreviated BBQ) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There lives a good friend of Eric, a Munich, who lives but for some time already in the U.S. (the first in Dallas, now in Tulsa). And if you ever have friends from home in the area, then it must be celebrated the same :-). So they met on a warm, friendly Wednesday night and enjoyed a delicious selection of steaks, grilled potatoes, Caesar's Salad, Fried Beans and ice cold Budweiser.
Tulsa, formerly the most important oil city in the world (with lots of "old wealth"), offered us so many attractions that we immediately decided to spend another night. Not only do our hotel directly on the Arkansas River, and next door to the River Walk is a nice location for the evening going out there, no, the city offers, of course, so some shopping, so we spent much of Thursday in an air conditioned shopping mall with over 150 stores. The result: our case not to go back, it's in our wallets now more room. In a city course there is always ways you can make the evening interesting. First, we treated ourselves to a tasty, Mexican dinner on the river in the suburb of Jenks, and afterwards a visit to the scene-district Brookside in Tulsa. Taxi driver Morris then took us in the morning to half past two on the Hotel again ...
On Friday, it now goes to OKC, the State Capital of Oklahoma. Learn more about the gentle reader will in the coming days.
Ciao,
Lars, Eric, Julian and Felix
